Thanksgiving Holiday, COVID-19 and Fall Study Week Information

As cases of COVID-19 continue to grow across our province (and the world), and restrictions regarding social gatherings continue to evolve, it is imperative that we all do our part to ensure the health and safety of our campus communities and the communities in which we live and work. The Ontario Government announced on Friday that effective October 3, 2020, private social gatherings and social circles have been suspended. This means that we must all refrain from gathering with individuals outside of our immediate households.

With the Thanksgiving break coming up this weekend, it is important that we do our part to stop the spread of COVID-19 and adhere to public health guidelines. This means avoiding social gatherings, staying within our household units, practising social distancing and wearing masks at all times when in public.

Our collective efforts help ensure we are doing all we can to support the broader societal effort to minimize the spread of the virus which will ultimately enable us to return to a new state of normal operations.

Unless noted below, all Algoma University facilities and offices in Brampton, Sault Ste. Marie and Timmins will be closed during the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend (Saturday, October 10th through to Tuesday, October 13th at 9 AM).
