Each year for the past three years, Algoma University’s Dept. of Music and Visual Art has hosted the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association’s (ORMTA) annual Canadian Music Week recital,
Featuring performances by students and faculty of the Institute.

Come out and celebrate a night of song with Keiko Larocque – Soprano, Darielle Chomyn – Mezzo Soprano, and Paul Dingle – Piano at the end of the term recital.
You will hear a variety of pieces that have been worked with Agnes McCarthy,
Algoma University’s Musical Theatre Ensemble is thrilled to present a night full of musical numbers. You will hear songs from La La Land, Mamma Mia!, and more.
The students have been working hard to showcase their talents and cannot wait to show you what they’ve got!
Join us for a year end concert featuring performances by the Algoma U Jazz Ensemble as well as the Graduating Recital of guitarist Robert Sartini. Admission by Donation.

“What Every Musician Needs to Know About the Body” is a workshop with Wilfred Laurier Voice Professor, Kimberly Barber.
Participants will understand basic Body Mapping concepts with an emphasis on breathing and articulation. Valuable for any musician to help alleviate unnecessary pressure put on the body.
The Fine Arts Student Society of Algoma University (FASS) is pleased to host “Mixed Media: The Soiree” – An evening of Fine Arts and Music by Algoma University Students. There will be student art on display and live music by some of our very talented music students.
