Algoma SwiftWatch Presents: Swift Night Out

(SAULT STE. MARIE, ON: May 19, 2016): Algoma SwiftWatch will be presenting the second annual Swift Night Out in Sault Ste. Marie’s downtown. This free event will be held on May 28th at 7:30pm in front of the courthouse on Queen St. East.

Upwards of 2400 Chimney Swifts visit Sault Ste. Marie each night during spring migration.  We invite everyone to join us on the 28th and watch as the Chimney Swifts gather in the sky, and then drop into the post office chimney where they will rest for the night. Think of it as a fireworks show, but instead of fireworks filling the sky there will be hundreds of threatened Chimney Swifts!

There will also be live music, free refreshments and snacks courtesy of Shabby Motley, activities for kids, and an art display by local elementary schools.

You can find more information at www.facebook.com/algomaswifts.

We look forward to seeing you at 7:30 pm on May 28, 2016 in front of the courthouse on Queen St. East.
