Summer Employment Program (SEP)

Summer Employment Program

The Algoma University Summer Employment Program is designed to provide on-campus full-time employment to eligible Algoma University students through the Financial Aid Office. Students can work up to 35 hours per week during the summer break. Students can view a list of available jobs through and download the Summer Employment Program application form from there.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be enrolled full-time in Winter 2018*
  • Must be registered full-time in Fall 2018*
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Person of Canada
  • Must have a demonstrated unmet financial need after applying for and accessing OSAP for 2018-19
  • Must be in good academic standing as per OSAP and Algoma University
  • Must be in good financial standing with OSAP and Algoma University

*Minimum nine credits per term, or six credits per term for a student with a documented permanent disability as defined by OSAP.

  1. Download the Summer Employment Application (PDF), read carefully and complete in full electronically. You can use any computer on campus to download and complete electronically using Adobe. Do not complete the application by hand
  2. Print your electronically completed application, then sign and date Section 6
  3. For each job you are applying to, print a cover letter and resume
  4. Submit completed application (including resumes/cover letters) to Financial Aid Office or FAO Dropbox. Electronic submissions will be accepted through
