This flexibility makes our University education both accessible and affordable!
Algoma U at Timmins offers university programming in our Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Arts in Community Development degrees. Our courses are offered at the Timmins Campus of Northern College of Applied Arts and Technology, helping students in Northern Ontario complete their educational wishes without having to move and uproot their families for an extended period of time.
Our Social Work and Community Development programs are delivered either in-person in Timmins, or via interactive videoconference from our Sault Ste. Marie campus. Our professors are trained experts in their fields of study, and they place course content in a Northern Ontario context so it’s relatable and suitable to your home environment. At Algoma U at Timmins, students also benefit from studying in the ideal classroom environment, which boasts small, supportive classes that afford you more one-on-one time with your professors. And because you’re studying at the Timmins Campus of Northern College, you’ll have access to a variety of comprehensive services that will ensure you succeed.
Upon being accepted into the Algoma U at Timmins program, students will participate in an orientation session and be provided with an orientation package to help them become familiar with the University and the support services available at the Timmins Campus of Northern College.
