Acquisitions Policy
The Algoma University Archives & Special Collections acquires the archival records of the University and the private archives of individuals and organizations that complement research and teaching interests of Algoma University faculty. Core collections include:

The Algoma University archives which includes records of current and predecessor governing, administrative, academic and student bodies of the university which have archival value; e.g. regulations, policies, minutes, correspondence and reports of faculties, departments and administrative offices; and which are preserved for their legal, evidential, educational, or research values.
- Private archives which include records, in any format, of selected Algoma University faculty members and individuals and organizations not associated with the university or college, but whose archival records are acquired to support the research and teaching programmes offered at Algoma University in selected subject areas.
