Algoma UniversityIf you are a member of the news media, the External Relations Office is your source for information about Algoma University and your gateway to the people you need to talk to within the Algoma U community.  Whether you need specific facts from Algoma U staff, expert commentary from a faculty member, or information about an award-winning student, we’ll make sure you can find what you’re looking for.

The External Relations Office is also your media source for information about Algoma University’s accelerated degree programs in Computer Science and Business Administration, offered by Algoma U in Brampton, Ontario, and about the Master of Science program in Computer Games Technology, the only master’s level degree in gaming technology offered in Canada.

Algoma U’s faculty includes internationally known experts and researchers in fields such as Business, Politics, Economics, Community Development, Biology, History, Psychology, and Computer Science.  When you need an informed and articulate commentator to shed light on social and economic trends, environmental issues, cutting edge technology or almost any issue in the news, we can put you in touch with the expert you need.  And many of our faculty members are uniquely qualified to bring a Northern Ontario perspective to national or international events.

There may also be times when you’ll want a student perspective on a particular issue or event. We can connect you with leaders and spokespersons from the Algoma University Student Union (AUSU) or the Shingwauk Anishinaabe Students’ Association (SASA), who can provide you with clear insights into how Algoma U students are affected by the issue you’re writing or reporting about.
