Bachelor of Liberal Science (3-year)

The Liberal Science program is a highly adaptable program suited to students desiring a foundation in scientific disciplines. The program is designed to emphasize, within the context of a liberal education, an understanding of the status, concepts, and orientations of modern science. Students will take courses in at least two of the following areas: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. In addition, students will complete continuations in two of the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology or Mathematics

Degree Requirements for Bachelor of Liberal Science (3-YEAR):

a) complete 90 credits in no more than 132 credit attempts with a minimum overall average of 60% on all passed courses;
b) complete a minimum of 54 credits in science courses chosen from at least three departments, i.e.: Computer Science, Math and Physics OR Math, Biology, and Chemistry OR Biology, Geology, and Physics, etc.;
c) complete at least 6 credits in each of two of the following disciplines: BIOL, CHMI, MATH, PHYS;
d) complete two continuations in different science disciplines (a continuation is a sequence of 18 credits in on discipline with 12 credits at the upper-year);
complete 6 credits from among the following courses:
HIST 2245 E, PHIL 2216 E, 2505 E, 2915 E, 2916 E, RLST 3306 E;
e) complete 30 additional elective credits, 12 of which must come from non-science courses; and
f) not exceed the maximum of 48 credits at the 1000-level.
