What is the Student Access Guarantee?

In March 2006, the Ministry of Education & Training, Colleges & Universities announced the end to a two-year tuition freeze and a new Tuition Framework for 2006-07 to 2009-10. Within this new Tuition Framework, a condition for increasing tuition is that postsecondary institutions must participate in the Student Access Guarantee (SAG). Through the SAG, the Ministry and the provincially funded colleges and universities are partnering to support access to postsecondary education.
