Work on Campus

With funding from the Ontario Government as well as tuition funds, Algoma University is pleased to offer programs that enable students to work part-time while completing their studies, and full-time during the summer.

To be eligible, students must be in good academic standing, and be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Person. Out of province students can apply. Students must apply by the deadlines, and demonstrate an educationally related financial need. Applying to work on campus does not guarantee a job.

Through work-study programs, students can work up to 10 hours per week and earn a maximum of $1000 per semester. These positions generally start in September and end in April. Application forms are available through Employment Services located on the second floor of Shingwauk Hall.

Through summer employment, students can work up to 35 hours per week and earn a maximum of $8000 over the summer. Applications are due March 31st and can be placed in the Financial Aid Office Drop Box located outside of the Main Office.
