Kaitlyn Teller“The professors here really strive to involve students in their research and to teach them about the research process. This summer, I will have published two research papers, and I’m not even a fourth-year student. None of my friends at other universities have had those opportunities in their undergraduate studies.”

Algoma has an average class size of 22 students and a student/faculty ratio of only 17:1. And it’s the only university in Ontario that never has more than 65 students in a class.

Those numbers add up to you having better access to your professors than you would at any other university in Ontario.

But access is only part of the equation. What’s just as important is who those professors are.

When you come to Algoma, you’ll discover what it’s like to have professors who take an active interest in you and your goals – professors who actually want to know who you are and what will help you succeed. The faculty members you encounter will encourage creativity, imagination, critical thinking and risk-taking. At Algoma, our professors are academically accomplished, deeply committed to excellence in teaching, and fully focused on your experience and your success.
