Global Game Jam

Algoma University was one of the few Canadian host sites for the first ever international Global Game Jam. The Global Game Jam brings together talented individuals and teams from around the globe and rallies them around a central theme, for which they have 48 hours to create their game. In 2009 the event had 1,650 participants at 54 locations in 23 countries! Participating in the GGJ is an exciting opportunity for students to learn what is involved in creating a game on a deadline and the importance of team work. GGJ is a showcase of the creativity and talent of the international game development community and an excellent addition to a student's resume.
