The Speak Easy

The Speak EasyDay or night, the Speak Easy is Algoma University's hot spot for student dining and entertainment. Home to our cafeteria, pub, patio and student stage, it's a place where you'll enjoy activities ranging from karaoke and acoustic jam nights to all-age pub nights and live bands. The Speak Easy features a state-of-the-art sound system, three 30+ inch TV screens (along with an enormous projection screen) and a licensed patio.

The Speak Easy provides great entertainment year-round — not just for students, but for visitors to the campus who are always welcome to enjoy a beverage on the patio or on the upper or lower deck of the main bar.
 

Minor Policy

If you are under 19 years of age, or if you have friends who are under 19 years of age, please become familiar with the Speak Easy's Minor Policy (PDF).

A great place for student clubs to organize an event or fundraiser, the Speak Easy is also available for rentals – the cozy atmosphere is great for parties, small weddings, fundraisers and business functions.
