All participants (graduands, faculty, etc.) in the procession must gather at the east end of the Roberta Bondar Park Tent Pavilion at 1:15pm sharp on Saturday, June 11, 2011.
Up to 7 guest tickets will be made available from the Office of the Registrar between 8:30am and 4:30pm from May 24th to June 3rd. Depending on availability, additional tickets may be picked up beginning June 6th.
Regalia (academic gown, hood, and cap) will be available for pick up at the Office of the Registrar at Algoma University beginning May 24th until June 10th. There is a $25 fee for regalia, $10 of which will be refunded upon return of the academic hood.
Students graduating with an overall average of 80 per cent or higher on all courses completed at Algoma University and required for the degree, will be granted their degree cum laude. (The overall average must be calculated on a minimum of 60 credits completed at Algoma University presented for the degree.) Students admitted to Algoma University having a Community College Diploma with an A average, and who maintains an A in his/her studies at Algoma U, will be granted their degree cum laude.
During their final year, all students wishing to graduate must file an application for graduation. Forms may be submitted online or obtained from the Office of the Registrar, and must be returned with the graduation fee ($39.55) on or before the published deadline for receipt of fall or spring graduation applications. If you apply via the online form, you must submit the required graduation fee of $39.55 separately to the Office of the Registrar. Applications received after the deadline will be applied to the following graduation. Every graduating student is encouraged to attend this important event to receive his/her degree. Students unable to attend should request that their degree be conferred in absentia.

There is no scheduled Fall Convocation ceremony for the fall of 2011. Students who are eligible to graduate at fall convocation will receive their degree in absentia at the end of October 2011.
The Spring 2012 Convocation ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, June 9, 2012.
