Application Deadlines

Convocation 2008If it is your intention to graduate at Spring Convocation 2010 to be held on the campus of Algoma University, the deadline to apply is January 29, 2010.  Please complete all the sections of the Application for Graduation and submit to the Office of the Registrar.


 

How To Apply To Graduate

During their final year, all students wishing to graduate must file an application for graduation. Forms may be submitted online or obtained from the Office of the Registrar, and must be returned with the graduation fee ($39.55) on or before the published deadline for 5receipt of fall or spring graduation applications. If you apply via the online form, you must submit the required graduation fee of $39.55 separately to the Office of the Registrar. Applications received after the deadline will be applied to the following graduation. Every graduating student is encouraged to attend this important event to receive his/her degree. Students unable to attend should request that their degree be conferred in absentia.

The next convocation ceremony at Algoma University is scheduled for Saturday, June 12, 2010.  More information to follow.

Distinction at Graduation

Students graduating with an overall average of 80 per cent or higher on all courses taken at Laurentian University or one of the affiliated colleges, and required for the degree, will be granted their degree cum laude. (The overall average must be calculated on a minimum of 60 credits completed at Algoma or Laurentian and presented for the degree.) Students admitted to Algoma University having a Community College Diploma with an A average, and who maintains an A in his/her studies at Algoma U, will be granted their degree cum laude.
