Algoma U Alumni - Make a Gift

Annual Campaign

The Algoma University Annual Campaign exists to support our students’ success. Generous gifts to the Annual Campaign from alumni, staff, faculty, parents, community partners and friends are an important expression of support used to provide:

  • Scholarships to attract the best and the brightest students, recognizing their academic excellence,
  • Bursaries to meet identified needs and ensure that post-secondary education is accessible to all qualified students,
  • Research materials for students, and
  • Uniforms, equipment and travel support for Algoma University student athletes

Last year over 200 donor-supported awards were provided to qualifying Algoma University students.  These awards were funded through donations made to the Algoma U Foundation Endowment Fund and yearly gifts to the Annual Campaign.

Preparing Students for a World of Opportunities

Student Award RecipientsYour gift to the Algoma U Annual Campaign helps to create new opportunities for our students.  The cost of a post-secondary degree shouldn’t be a barrier to a student who has the desire and ability to learn.  Gifts to the Annual Campaign provide Entrance Scholarships to high school graduates and college transfer students who have demonstrated academic excellence.  These scholarships are carried forward through to graduation for students who maintain their academic achievements.

A strong Scholarships & Bursaries program is important to both attract new students to Algoma University and to help them stay here.

Algoma U’s unique learning experience provides our students with greater opportunities. The personal attention that students receive from smaller class sizes and personalized instruction from professors who are experts in their chosen field gives Algoma U students a distinct advantage.   Algoma U students engage in collaborative research and hands on learning with community partners, providing real life experience for the students and real life solutions for their communities.
