Students looking to pay their tuition and compulsory fees with their OSAP funding must submit their signature pages and any required supporting documentation to the Financial Aid Office prior to 30 June to ensure that loan documents arrive in time for the start of class and OSAP distribution. If you are looking to defer your tuition and compulsory fees, please make sure to bring a copy of your assessed OSAP funding with you when you register.

OSAP for Part-Time Students

Part-time students may be eligible to apply to the Part-time Canada Student Loan Program (PTCSL). Part-time students with a disability may be eligible to apply for funding through the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP), or the PTCSL. Students can also apply for an Exceptional Expense Bursary.

Funding through the PTCSL is based on a needs-assessment and is subject to program maximums. To be eligible, the income and assets of the student and spouse (if applicable) must fall below thresholds. OSAP is based on financial need as determined by OSAP through an assessment of your application. Assessments are based on an established demonstrated unmet need and funds are provided to help supplement the student's financial resources and those of their immediate family. As there are a number of factors that determine a student’s eligibility for funding, please keep in mind that each case is assessed on an individual basis.
