The Co-operative education option is a great opportunity for you to take your classroom knowledge to the real-world work environment, gaining experience and getting paid at the same time.
The Co-op and Career Services office at Algoma University will assist you in finding the ideal co-op placement to enhance your degree studies. Our Co-op Advisor will work with you to match your skills with employer needs, to help you get the greatest possible benefit from the co-op work experience.
Students in the accelerated degree programs must maintain a 70% average to be eligible to apply for work term placements. You must also complete the introductory course called Career Skills, COOP 0101 which will be scheduled over a weekend session. There are additional fees for the co-op program.
