B.Sc. (Lake Superior State), M.Sc. (Waterloo), Ph.D. in Neuroscience (Technishe Universitat Graz - Graz, Austria).
Dr. Townsend is currently collaborating on a research project with the New York State Department of Health in Brain-Computer Interfaces with the Wadsworth Research Center, Albany, New York. This research provides technology that allows completely paralyzed patients to communicate with the outside world using only their thoughts.
