Qualifications:
Northern Ontario secondary school graduates 29 years of age or under who recently graduated (within 3 years) from an accredited college or university. Northern Ontario secondary school graduate or a secondary school graduate from outside of Northern Ontario who has resided in the North for at least 12 consecutive months. Internships must provide first-time employment in a related field. The applicant must also not have previously participated in an internship program.
Primary Function:
Under the direction of a Faculty Researcher, the Project Development Liaison will plan, implement, and evaluate events along the Algoma rail lines in conjunction with stakeholder groups, cyclists and artists.

Algoma University invites applications for a tenure-stream faculty position in Music that will begin on 1 July 2012. By the time of appointment, a completed PhD or a DMA is desired. The successful candidate must demonstrate evidence of excellence in both teaching and scholarship, as well as a willingness to lead the growth of our flourishing music programme.
The successful candidate will show a strong commitment to teaching, and an active, ongoing research and/or performance portfolio. In addition to committee work, administrative duties will include serving as the Director of the Music programme. This involves developing course schedules, administering the programme’s budget, managing Music equipment and facilities, organizing and grading juries, as well as contributing to recruitment activities and community outreach. The position requires the successful applicant to coordinate sessional instructors for university courses, as well music teachers for applied lessons. She or he will also liaise with the Algoma Conservatory of Music, one of Ontario’s largest non-profit conservatories of music.

The HBSW program at Algoma University invites applications for two full time, tenure-track appointments, one at assistant professor level and one at the associate professor level, beginning July 1, 2012.
